PERMIAS Seattle brings Indonesian students and young professionals across the Greater Seattle Area together through festivals, sports and a community that feels like family.
PERMIAS (Persatuan Mahasiswa Indonesia di Amerika Serikat) Seattle is a student-run non-profit for Indonesians studying in the Greater Seattle Area, from UW to the community colleges.
We help new students settle in, celebrate Indonesian culture with our Seattle neighbors, and give everyone a community to come home to.
BAJAJ and the PERMIAS Cup are our signature events, planned for months and run entirely by students.
Balai Jajanan
Our annual Indonesian cultural festival and the biggest night on the PERMIAS calendar. Street-food stalls, traditional performances and live music bring a taste of home to the Greater Seattle Area.
Every edition has its own theme, from “Kenangan Manis” to “Pulau Seribu Cerita”, and dozens of student volunteers run it from start to finish.
Our annual tournament
Teams from across Seattle go head to head in basketball, futsal, badminton and more. It’s competitive on the court and a reunion everywhere else.
Bring a team, join one on the day, or just come and cheer. The bleachers are half the fun.
